Application for Non-Degree Students

A non-degree student is one who is enrolled in certain courses but does not follow an organized program of study and, therefore not a prospective candidate for graduation for any degree in the University. Enrollment of non-degree student must be endorsed by the program chair and approved by the Faculty Dean.

Application Requirements:

  1. Application Form for Non-Degree Students;
  2. Photocopy of Transcript of Records from all schools attended;
  3. Two recent identical 2” x 2” photos and two identical 1” x 1” photos, with your name and the program applied for printed at the back of the photos.


How to apply as non-degree student:

Step 1: Check the list of course offerings posted at the UPOU website and completely fill-out the application form for non-degree. Make sure that course/s listed in the application form is/are offered.

Step 2: Mail or bring all application requirements at least one month before the registration schedule to:

The Registration Section
Office of the University Registrar
UP Open University
Los Baños, Laguna 4031 Philippines

or email scanned copies to the Registration Section via the UPOU Helpdesk.

Step 3: Wait for an email from the OUR for the results. Results of the evaluation will be released upon approval of the Dean of the Faculty of Study and the Registrar. Enrollment instructions will be indicated in the email.


Note: Please be informed that you can only enroll in up to 6 units per semester in the Diploma in Computer Science (DCS) program. Additionally, course offerings are subject to availability each semester.
