Is overloading allowed?

Created by DCS Program Support, Modified on Wed, 8 Jan at 9:10 PM by DCS Program Support

Students under the DCS program are allowed to enroll 6-9 units per semester. However, should the student wish to apply for 9 units and beyond, they must first have the DCS program chair's approval.

It is encouraged for students to first gauge the amount of work the program will task its students with. As students of the DCS program are generally working students, they must also balance their course work with their regular work requirements.

When considering overloading to take an extra elective, please note that only the first elective will be credited toward your program requirements. Taking additional electives beyond what is required is not encouraged, as it may result in unnecessary expenses and effort without contributing to your academic progress.

Below is the recommended program trail for students to take note of, especially if they wish to overload as some of the courses require the completion of prerequisites.
